Glorious gardening

Sunny Sunday........not what they said at all, thank goodness :-)

Out for the papers, and a longer than usual walk back a different route, very pleasant :-)

Brunch was wholemeal toast with tomatoes and bacon..,,,,yum yum!!!

After a cuppa, it was a quick change into scruffs to spend the afternoon gardening.
The frogs were widdiping, the birds were chirping.......we were weeding, clipping, trimming. We did have the odd rest with a cuppa sat in the sun on our chairs that hub had brought out on to the patio ;-) today's blip is our Berberis Darwinii not quite open just yet.

After 3 hours we called it a day because we were shattered and partly because I wanted to watch the Manchester derby on TV, I can't quite believe we won!! hub was happy too, as his Saints who were 2-0 down managed to turn it around and won 3-2, happy days :-)

We had griddled chops, lamb for me, pork for hub, with stir fried onions, mushrooms, green beans, carrots, with garlic, chilli and ginger with roast potatoes, followed by mandarin oranges with chocolate ice cream for Dinner.

Signing off now as the Night Manager is just about to start ;-)
