Squirrelling away

How come the weather forecasters can always get it right when the weather is rubbish!!? So grey and dreary, not a glimmer of any decent light!

We were woken early with a wagon at 7.40 delivering to one of our neighbours, so we were up and out earlier than usual for a Saturday. Had our usual walk into town, got what we needed, called in our favourite little cafe, no room at the inn :-( ....so we had to give our coffee a miss. I made us one when we got home instead. Watched part of Saturday kitchen and read the papers, then we had egg and soldiers for lunch.

Got out for a longer walk around the Flashes, but it was chilly and quite busy but in the hides it was more tranquil......saw all the usual birds, but was drawn to this squirrel as it retrieved whatever it had hid in the hole on the tree stump. He was quite comical, almost disappearing into the hole sometimes.

I've made Potatoe Hash for dinner tonight ....its smelling rather nice just now.

I hope tomorrow is a little brighter....fingers crossed :-)
