Sunset

Another day in the former mining town of Bo'ness for the Hippodrome Festival of Silent Cinema. We saw several films, A Pair of Tights ('female Laurel and Hardy' Anita Garvin and Marion Byron - sublimely hilarious), His Wife's Relations (Buster Keaton, an utter hoot), Variete (German trapeze melodrama, wonderful) and Daybreak (downbeat yet overwrought Chinese propoganda-fest ... not great).

And when we came out it wasn't daybreak, but sundown...
