RAIN FOREST TREE & TOADSTOOLS

This very old tree in the remaining rain forest along the creek has the typical strappy lower trunk. I believe it gives it better stability in the soft forest floor. [There are probably other reasons known to a botanist.]

After the rain the toadstools have sprouted there. They look like cappuccinos...or nipples, if you prefer!
