Royal Observer Corps Bunker

It's been a lovely calm day, fairly cloudy but warm and dry.

Day off after working the weekend.  Up early and been out walkies a few times with Sammy.  Met up with mam at lunchtime and then went to see granny in the hospital.  She was a bit forgetful today but chatted away fine.  After tea, I'm heading to a Shetland Heritage Association meeting and then off to work in the pub.

I've been exploring about today and went down into an old Royal Observer Corps Bunker.  A scary past with these bunkers and thankfully no nuclear war.  After my climb down the ladder, I came to two doors, one took me to a toilet with old bleach and cleaning products, the other opened into the main bunker.  Wonder what it would have been like to sit down here all day?  Shame the beds and other artefacts have been removed but the chairs are still here.  Taken on Ward Hill, Virkie.
