Sunset magic

It was one of those evenings when the rewards of being in the right place at just the right time paid off.   It wasn’t so much the sunset itself which presented my Blipfoto, but rather the stark silhouette of the trees against the background of the setting sun.
Yes, we’ve been here before, but each time we catch the setting sun, there appears to be a fresh dimension to the image it presents in the mind’s eye, as well as to the camera.
Of course sunsets as well as the rising sun at daybreak are popular among photographers, and running an annual photographic competition, I get to see a good many interpretations of these events, although invariably they are seascapes rather than landscapes, but a high proportion have the same ingredients of a close – ish  subject, usually a boat or a yacht,  silhouetted against the  rising or setting sun, and the striking read skies which accompany it.
So my version taking advantage of the bare trees which have still to grow their leaves  is perhaps in complete contrast.
But, either way, the result is magic!
