A slice of Lesley's life

Patience and Perseverance

So this is closer to the picture I wanted to post yesterday which would have shown a little of the progression of our little pupster from her year ago image.* She has also made some very good progress in her walking and general park etiquette and I've had two very lovely walks with her today.

One of which was particularly useful in helping me focus and prepare for my webinar today which was hard and exhausting but equally good and satisfying and I'm happy with that.

The big event of the day though was a meeting for J at school with the student support services officer, one of the deputy heads and his form tutor. He didn't sleep too well last night so he wasn't in the best shape but he did a good job. So we have a plan for him to start back one lesson a day from next Monday and see how it goes. The meeting lasted about an hour so about the amount of time he would be in school for. Which isn't that great as he then came home and struggled for the rest of the day until bedtime. We'll have to see how he is in the morning and hopefully he'll get a good sleep tonight. He is prepared for this next transition period being hard and frustrating so perhaps that will stand him in good stead. And as the deputy pointed out, he's probably done harder and more frustrating things over the last 15 months.

*which confusingly turns out to be one year ago from tomorrow due to the leap year thing and my tired brain thing combined.
