Why the long face?
Well, it could be the stupid angle from which you are attempting to take my picture?
Do you know, she doesn't even bat an eye anymore. Though it could be the massive attempt at migraine-busting walk along the river I took her on. Turns out the medication and lie down in a dark room for an hour was a more effective approach. But the pup and my step count were both happy.
Slightly puffy face for Anna who had her second tooth extraction today. I feel a bit bad that I've got to 43 and had none. And I was brought up in the 70s. In Wolverhampton. Not sure if it was better or worse that this one was under local anaesthetic only as she said she could feel it although it didn't hurt and she didn't like feeling the instruments on her lip. But she's managed to eat and even finish a piece of homework so the recovery time seems to be pretty quick.
Quicker than for the boy who has had a broken day. Not sure if it is failing to recover from yesterday, potentially underlying stress thinking about the planned school return or something else entirely. My money is on the middle option. He says he doesn't feel stressed and is excited about going back to school but I fear his body is doing what mine often does and taking the stress hit for his brain. It is manifesting itself as feeling very cold and sick and, although we started the journey, he wasn't able to make the tank today. So we are regrouping and, as ever, waiting to see what the morning brings.
Did I mention that I love having a dog? She is definitely up there as one of Carl's better ideas.
And yes I know it's turning into a dog week. Let's pretend it's a theme.
