Greenfinch
Birdwatching today and we went to RSPB Loch Leven. It was grey, overcast and cold - the best birds being seen from the cafe at the visitor centre.
Amongst all the finches and tits, we saw our first ever Bramblings, but I didn't manage a decent shot of them (but I did put one in extras for today). The feeders were very busy and I particularly enjoyed the antics of the greenfinches as they fought over the perches.
A walk round the wetland trail visiting the three hides wasn't very productive although we did see a whooper swan and had some lovely views of a pair of buzzards before we retired to the cafe for an excellent lunch.
It was too grey, damp and cold for a planned afternoon trip round the woodland walk so back home to clear off some chores!
In spite of the weather. the birdsong still made it feel like spring - lovely!
