Contorted Hazel

The female flowers of our contorted hazel tree have now started to open. These tiny pink flowers are pollinated by wind blown pollen, but not from the same tree - the yellow male catkin flowers aren't open yet.
Another sign of the rebirth of the coming spring. Yeah!
