Spring is in the air.....or is it?
This morning I was driving pass my neighbours place, when I spied 3 cute lambs in their front paddock. These are the first lambs that I have seen this season, so immediately I thought of blip! I came home and rang my neighbour to ask if I could pop down and take a few photo's of their new arrivals. She said of course I could, the sheep were friendly, and I could even go into the paddock if I wanted.
So off I went, camera in hand. There were 3 wee lambs, all posing nicely for a brilliant photo shoot running around the paddock with their mums and the other sheep. It was near impossible to get all 3 lambs together to take a photo, however, I did manage to get a lamb jumping with joy at being photographed running with its mother.
It seems very early for new lambs to be born, especially since it is still the middle of winter. Today is wet and cold - I hope these little lambs manage to keep warm beside their mothers.
The weekend is just about here, and my mum and dad are arriving sometime this afternoon for a visit. It's Dads birthday tomorrow, so I am cooking a special tea tomorrow night to celebrate it. It is meant to be wet all weekend - hopefully it won't be as cold as it has been.
