Daffodil joy

As if we needed proof that everything is that much earlier this year, I took a very similar Blipfoto in the same spot a year ago, but 16 days later.
It was on March 12 last year that I featured this same roadside verge on one of the main routes into Southampton in the town centre at Totton. Yet already these miniature daffodils which bring colour and enjoyment to the town’s  shopping and commercial centre have been in full bloom for some days.
The prime point of my Blip a year ago was to express my  compliment to the town’s initiative in bringing additional life to the grass verges on both sides of the busy A36 road through the town. Be it the town council or businesses and shops who are responsible for the initiative, it is a welcoming feature to the town. And we have said it before . . . but yet another re-assuring sign that Spring is here, well almost!
But this display, seemingly at least 16 days earlier than last year, made my day today sufficiently to make a special trip to capture it on camera once again.
