The rising path

I don't usually have much joy with photographs in woodland. Imagined attractive effects in the trees usually fail to materialise. I took a number of shots on a path through the woods by Hurstwood Reservoir today, not expecting a great result. But when I got home this one had a very strange green effect. The colours here are exactly as they came out of the camera. My only adjustments were some lifting of the brightness and contrast.

The other contenders today were this B&W shot in the same woodland and one of the spectacular sky over the Reservoir, blue for the second consecutive day.

I decided that this perfectly cared for and obviously loved bus shelter at Over Town was probably just a bit too twee for my journal.

Overall, not views that strangers to Lancashire would associate with Burnley, are they?
