Art Deco

We are in Napier, a town that was destroyed by earthquake in 1931 and largely rebuilt in the then fashionable Art Deco style. We spent the afternoon (before it started raining) exploring the old buildings. The picture is of one of the few remaining 1930s shop fronts.
