Artist's Palette

The strangely coloured waters of this pool at the Waiotapu hot springs are known as the Artist's Palette. The colours are created by different minerals in the water.

The extra picture is some plants that have been turned yellow by the sulphur in the air. Believe it or not, I haven't photoshopped either of these pictures - this is actually what the colours were like!
