Tongarvo river

We are staying in Turangi on our way to Napier. Our motel backs on to the Tongarvo river, a popular spot for trout fishermen. We set off for a stroll along the river, which turned into a steep uphill climb in the rain (good job it was raining, we wouldn't have been able to do the climb if it had been as hot as it has been the last few days). We were rewarded with this view of the river (with a lone fisherman if you look closely enough) and Lake Taupo in the far distance.
