February northern light

They gave out an 'up to force 8 northerly' warning on the shipping forecast last night for inshore waters North Foreland to Selsey Bill. And so it came to pass. Leaden skies and bleached light.  The world scrapped back to the nub.  Revealed. In thrall to its own skeletal beauty before the wheel turns and growth begins again.
