Still Life. Skull

It is a grey day today. Light is very flat. So I headed into the studio to set up a simple still life. I was thinking of relatively high key white on white. Using available light.
The first entry I did for today I deleted after a little while - it was ok but had some faults. I had a number of attempts with this subject matter. The above is what I eventually came up with. I think that I am happy with the achieved depth of field at f/22. Tripod work of course.
Might have been better as a B&W conversion.
The skull is one of a couple of rams heads I got from a farmer friend years ago. It was from some skeletons he had lying around his paddocks. I soaked them in a heavy solution of bleach for a month or so to get rid of the yukky stuff, and whiten the bones. I used them in still life paintings years ago when I was working in a realist manner, before switching totally to, what is referred to these days, as Hybrid Abstraction. I save my realist images for the camera these days.
Hope the weather improves very soon.
Actually, after thinking about it, grey days are good in that they force one to extend ones practise in a different way.
Bigger version is definitely better.
