Early daffs

8.30am, 4 degrees C, windspeed 4-5, windchill -4 C.  I was on my way to work and this sight made me feel grateful that I would be indoors and warm.  This work is so hard and backbreaking.  The daffodils are early this year.  There were scores of pickers in the field.  I have to be discreet with the camera as the assumption is likely to be that I am a government agent checking for illegal immigrants or other irregularities.
Tonight is the annual bellringers' meal.  The food and company will be good but I don't think there will be dancing on the tables!
