Local History brought to life.

A most enjoyable afternoon at our local theatre. Our local Landscape Trust presented an entertainment of talks, images, theatre and music all celebrating the Life and Times of William Hutton. Hutton was Vicar of Beetham from 1762 to 1811 and was the author of the
Beetham Repositary. This hand written work describes in vivid detail life in the parish and also sets out his exploration of the natural history and geology of the area.

It was carried off with enthusiasm and imagination.
