Is this the Great Barrier Reef Photographed by Major Tim?

No. Its a tree trunk on Arnside Knott photographed by Sergeant Knottman.

After last week's fiasco of an incorrect fungi identity I am saying nothing. Except that it is presumably a lichen and they are very difficult for the amateur naturalist.

Any experts out there?
