When....

she catches me having a moment just watching her being beautiful through the crack in her door..... 

We had a wonderful day today. We had a long time practising this morning, including a big step forward in our duet. We cycled to the swimming pool where she swam like a trooper. We were about to get out when she realised friends of ours were in the pool too. Then there was no chance of her leaving. It was extra nice as her and Rosalie are well matched in their swimming ability. So the kids had swimming races and diving challenges. They laughed, they played. And eventually, nearly 2 hours after getting in and 40+ lengths later, Katie got out! We had planned to go to church but the extra swim time meant we were too late. Which was fine - we were invited for coffee with Rosalie & family so we enjoyed that instead today. The girls ran off to play puppet shows and dress ups, the parents and I chatted 3d printers, geocaching, ballet... then Katie played one of her piano pieces, Ro showed us her new ballet and the girls performed a puppet show! 

We cycled home for a late lunch in front of a (Reallllly terrible) movie. We watched half before she went for a play, came back to do some music and then watch the end of the realllly terrible film. It was a wonderful Sunday!
