The Bar

TheGirl got homework to write about our town and it's history. She's really enjoyed what we've done. After she got home from ballet we took advantage of the winter sun and went to do a couple of the medieval trails our town has. There are sculpture and mini monuments to celebrate the historical crafts and trades of the town. We learnt some really interesting facts! Like if the bakers made poor bread they got put on the dunking stool. She didn't fancy that! She liked learning about the Minster minstrels and the milling and tunic makers. We spent a happy time putting the homework together with photo collages from the trails and she wrote about the history of the streets we've lived in, one of the local icons that we live near and a few other things

She was super excited when the day ended with a bonus visit from Granny and grandad for tea
