I likes ships and boats, most anything that floats

Just thought I would exercise my poetic side for a second.
As well as boats, I also like aircraft, cars and bikes, and, of course, trains!
This afternoon we braved the elements to visit the Falkirk Wheel which is celebrating its 10th birthday. Lots going on round about, including a couple of Roman soldiers (Not so sure about those thick woolly socks with the sandals!)
There were some very neat model boats scooting around the basin and a goodly selection of canal craft including this little steam launch. These are possibly my favourite boats; late Victorian and Edwardian, built of the best woods and driven by small but highly effective steam engines. Lovely!
Yet another wet day; not heavy so much, mostly that fine soaking rain that gets right through to your hide. Please, can we have just a few dry warm days before the clocks change again!!
