Quite a busy day, all in all.
After our usual morning stroll round the wood with Rona, we took ourselves over to the Falkirk Wheel again to see what was going on with the canal boats. To be honest, not a lot was going on; they were beginning to tidy up in readiness for their later departure but there would not be a mass exit so we looked to see what else was on offer. We found a falconry display being set up so we hung around to be rewarded with the sight of this Harris Hawk flying loose and making some people nervous, never mind a small dog! Absolutely marvellous!
Other birds on display but not flying were two small falcons, a lanner and a saker; two eagle owls and a tawny eagle. Now I would have loved to see that one flying free!
