Bird watching?

After a lovely evening last night and a reasonably good nights sleep, we awoke to sunshine at our friends house, lots of wildlife in their garden.......so glad I took my camera ;-)

We were treated to a lovely full English breakfast, after fruit, yoghurt, muesli, then toast and marmalade and coffee. Definitely no lunch for us today! The drive home was very nice in the sunshine, much better than the drive over to Cheshire last night thankfully!

I spent a while hiding behind the curtains, photographing the bird activity, then this rare species appeared ;-)!!! Such cheeky little things they are, he stayed there for a good while, chopping away! I even though he wouldn't turn around, I love the way the sun was glistening on his tail feathers :-)

We've had a lazy afternoon at home, reading the papers and catching up on a couple of programmes we'd recorded. I did make a bread and butter pudding, to use up the last of our Panatone. I added extra sultanas, a vanilla pod, some grated orange peel, and some broken 70% dark chocolate.....mmmmmm :-)
It was delicious, even if I say so myself :-0

We've had a pretty rain free day today, hurrah!!

Our goal is ever nearer, keep on pledging my friends.
