Brighter and colder

Woke up to the sad news that David Bowie has passed away, RIP.

First frost this morning, not that I really saw it, just heard the scrapping of windscreens for those early departers ;-)

We walked into town and back, for one or two bits that we needed, mainly for the exercise really. It was quite chilly, only 3 degrees, but nice for a brisk walk. As you can see there is still a lot of surface water around, the brooks and culverts are still like raging torrents in some places, compared to what they are normally like. The sky was a nice pastel mix this morning, which made for a nice scene.

Once home, we jumped straight into the car and drove to Lidl for some store cupboard items, fresh bread, cooked meats, fish, fruit and veg.

Haddock and Prawns in a lemon and spicy Piri Piri sauce for dinner, with green beans and sliced potatoes cooked in the oven i think ;-) oh, and the last of the Panetone bread and butter pudding I should think.

I think we may make it to 4.45 this afternoon before its properly dark :-)

My mind is constantly drifting to our "Fab Four" and that meeting.... really hope it's going well! No doubt we will find out soon enough. Keep on blipping, keep on pledging, keep on spreading the word.
