That Will Do!

Talisker Bay

We really wanted to revisit Talisker Bay because, many years ago, as we stood admiring the waterfall near its base, the wind caught the flow and blew it over me, soaking my anorak. I sought a calmer view.
As you see, the weather was not in our favour; the rocks were slippery and wet and the river in spate, preventing our crossing to the waterfall, whose upper limit was obscured by cloud. Of wildlife there was plenty, mainly in the form of midges, which were out in their millions, though we had watched four birds playing in the bay under the misapprehension that they might be divers - they were cormorant after all.
The day ended well with our B&B in Duirinish being surrounded by Highland Cattle, as the village is common grazing land, and a delicious dinner in Plockton.
