Caledonian Challenge

The frustration of following a mobile home for many, many miles then a slow driver, who rejoiced in any straight sections of road but was exceptionally cautious on bends or of oncoming traffic, led us to escape the main road for a diversion to Kinlochleven for refreshment. Here a checkpoint for the Caledonian challenge occupied the Ice Factor climbing Centre, which was busy with Hi-viz, stewards and bottled water besides the constant arrival of runners on the challenge.

We continued on our way in a better frame of mind.
