Hampton Court Palace

After a morning of incessant rain it finally cleared up enough around 2PM to allow for a walk to Hampton Court Palace and gardens.

Whilst strolling around the superb Privy Garden the sun came through with some dramatic looking clouds.

This is one of several images taken from the Privy Garden with it's splendid formal planting. 15 minutes after taking this picture the heavens opened with a shower of tropical intensity which forced everyone to dive for cover.
