Busy day

Poor daughter was up again half the night with Nathaniel who was very hot, poorly and tearful in the night. Only Mummy would do - her and his Woody doll.

Ella sleep till 7 and wasn't pleased I was already up - I had to go back in my bed so that she could get in for our morning chat together. (Grandad is supposed to be up getting Granny's hot tea, but that didn't happen today).

After breakfast Nathaniel perked up and kept taking my hand and leading me to the dolls house and saying "sit there. Play, Granny, play". However he soon deteriorated so they have all gone home to go to the doctor. They got a telling off last time he was poorly as he actually had an ear infection. This time he probably just has a cold but they want to be sure. I hope he is feeling better for his 2nd birthday on Saturday.

After they left I made this Spinach Roulade to contribute to our New Year dinner at S and M's in Yorkshire.

#2 daughter had a rough crossing back from Ireland this afternoon, I hope the roads back east are not flooded and they arrive safely home. We are looking forward to seeing Thomas and James tomorrow.
