Christmas Eve

First of all, a very Merry Christmas to everyone who looks at this!

A full day, but good. Started with text in the night to say daughter in Delhi. Eventually got a photo on Whatsapp of her with her brother in a taxi in Kolkata - so glad she's arrived.

Got house ready (well, sort of) for guests - two brothers and two nieces. Which is harder than it sounds, given that it's been a building site for quite a while.

Sang carols at the pub, and then everyone came back for lunch. Then, on the door for the candlelit carol service at church, which was gentle and beautiful. Another view in the extras.

Then making a pavlova for tomorrow. And then a party in a beautiful house. And I'm too tired, and too much going on, to think what I'm writing.
