Purple rain

Another day of constant gloom and hours of rain. It did stop for long enough at lunchtime though for me to venture out once more to Lickey Woods in search of today's blip.

No great views to be found today in the murk, so I decided to try out one of my birthday presents - a set of macro lens filters. I like this close-up of a thistle flower, complete with this summer's obligatory raindrops.
