Digesting
I managed to get in a walk before the rain got into its stride today, along the River Rivelin. There weren't a great many birds around, although I did get a fleeting glimpse of a Kingfisher, and there were a few Dippers on the river. This Heron caught an enormous fish, and attracted an audience of U3A birders. It decided on a bit of privacy and flew across one of the dams to dine, but as I headed back, it was still there, digesting its lunch.
A Dipper and a colourful Hairy Curtain Crust in extras.
