More Light

Today (at 11:03pm where I am to be precise,) is the Winter Solstice. I like many things about Winter - I think it's an underrated season - but I always wish there were more daylight hours, so the Solstice is a cause for celebration in my book.
More Light (Mehr Licht) are alleged to have been the last words of Goethe but no one is sure whether it was a request, as his eyes dimmed, or an observation about what he was seeing on the other side.
A garden robin for by blip today, eyeing up some mealworms. A nice sunset would have been appropriate, but sadly, it's been dull, if mild.
