ABC of Troon, O is for OLD. 

In Troon we have two, for sure, places in Town which are referred to as "Old"; they are "Old Safeway Car Park", and "the Old Swimming Pool". 

Old Safeway car park is confusing enough; considering in it's time it was Presto's before it was Safeway, and now, where both were, is New Look, Savers, Oxfam, South Ayrshire Hospice Shop, and Boots.   No Safeway.    We don't even have a Safeway.  We have a Morrison. 

The Old Swimming Pool, is even more confusing.  

The Old Swimming Pool has been gone for many. many years -  it doesn't exist.  

There isn't even anything in the place were it stood, just a big grassy area, with a car park beside it at the far north end of the prom.   But everyone, without hesitation will say "yeah, down at the old swimming pool".   - Even Himself says it, and he never even seen the actual one. 

And O is also for "ooooooh"  the sun came out today, after a dark, dismal, dreary, damp and hooley ridden day yesterday.  I caught this shot mid afternoon.  and hour and a bit later, the sun was just starting to disappear and it was glorious, but I was driving and just too far away to get down to grab it for ever.
