Spot the Birdie

It was decreed overnight by the social secretary in the Dower House that we go to the bus stop this morning and hop on to either a no 3 bus or a 30 bus, whichever came first.
The no 30 won the lottery which meant we found ourselves sharing space with kenspeckle characters wearing Santa hats and dogs wearing reindeer antlers as we threaded our way through housing estates on our way to Kinnaird Park.

There was the decadence of consuming half a mince pie before parking His Lordship in the bookshop while I did a comprehensive survey of Hobbycraft - absolute heaven.

It is about 12 hours since it last rained, which must be some sort of record for the past week.
There is another record being set today for tail backs in Fife and Edinburgh because of the complete closure of the Forth Road bridge, a shut down which will continue until the new year. The powers that be are considering bringing back a ferry for the Forth crossing, the very stuff of my romanticised childhood holiday memories.
