Bavarian clock nymph

She must surely be a water nymph on a day like today. It is a foul day outside. I stayed at home waiting for the plumber and phoned when he did not arrive. I pointed out I had phoned twice, once to arrange to fix the thermostat and then again to add a boiler service. They seemed to know nothing about it. The plumber then said the thermostat was an electrician's job. Fortunately I know the plumber and when I complained I had taken the day off for all of this, he said he would come round in the afternoon and get both jobs done. So far no sign of him!
