Catch me while you can
You won't see photos of me very often. (I don't like being reminded that I'm not a 19-year-old size 6 super model anymore... What's that? I never was?). So this is as good as it gets.
I'm going through one of my phases where I have a hundred things to say and feel like blogging at least couple of times per day. Not only do I want to record everything that Tess has said today and what's made me roar with laughter and talk about what the older kids are up to and what has affected me as a parent today, and this photo and why there's nothing climbing up that wall behind me anymore...
But I also want to talk about at least 5 different things I've read or heard that have got my brain flying through reactions today. So many things really struck a chord with me today.
But I can't write about them all, because I have a family and I must read with my 7-yr-old and eat with my 50-year-old and drink wine and fall asleep and get up and do it all again tomorrow.
It's a fine balancing act: feeling you have things you should do and say - that you want to be involved with in society and comment on society, keep learning, keep being part of things, along with that feeling that an important part of being a valuable part of that society and a decent parent and family person is knowing when to hone in. "Home in" perhaps.
So I'm "homing in" on things here whilst wanting to write lots (and lots) and not.
