Not a Lupin in sight!

Today the walking group drove to Welshtown, which is part of the old Bendigo Goldfields.  It was extremely windy, hot in the sheltered areas, and cold on the ridges.  Eighteen of us enjoyed the walk, which took us past old mining shafts and the ruins of old buildings.  In this photo taken at Logantown, is the ruin of an old building, a broken down dray and a tree that is just alive!  A couple of walkers are heading down the track towards the sluicings.

We had a nice cuppa at Tarras on the way home.  It was another great day to be out and about in our beautiful scenery.

Extra photos.  1.  The group heading over rocks towards the old hotel ruin.  2.  Looking down on the Tarras Valley and 3.  One of the ruins at Welshtown.
