Abigail ... is a gale

As advertised, an Atlantic Low, the first to be given a human name, Abigail,  swept in late this afternoon.

The severity of wind, and the fire hose force of the rain blasted the last of the leaves from the trees near where I had a work meeting. I am not sure my suit will recover as I ran through the storm to get to my car at the end of the meeting! (Should have taken a raincoat!!)

The east of Scotland is not experiencing anything like the storm surges and 80+ mph winds that are battering the west of Scotland this evening.
