Today the European robot probe made a soft landing on a comet travelling at 34000 miles per hour through space.

I find that hard to comprehend let alone understand how it can send pictures back to us from there.!

As I waited for the bus to take me to work today I was wondering how little contemporary technology seems to be used to maintain St Philip's church spire. Ropes, ladders and buckets are the order of the day here.

I am sure this work will be done by robot drones when these steeplejacks hang up their belays and tell tales to their grandkids of their derring doo dangling hundreds of feet above Joppa!
