Doubtful Sound

Happy Halloween!!! We left Queenstown bright and early this morning. I was sad to be leaving Queenstown, but I'm looking forward to our future destinations and adventures. We arrived at the Doubtful Sound today, where we will be spending the night. Doubtful Sound was named 'Doubtful Harbour' in 1770 by Captain Cook. It was later renamed Doubtful Sound by whalers and sealers, although it is not technically a sound but a fiord. The scenery is unlike anything I've ever seen! I rode on a tinder boat and took some amazing pictures. Before dinner, we sailed on the Tasman Sea. Talk about BEAUTIFUL! I got to see seals and penguins chilling in their natural habitat! The Tasman Sea is located between Australia and New Zealand. The sea is named after the Dutch explorer, Abel Tasman, who was the first recorded European to encounter New Zealand and Tasmania. Doubtful Sound is probably my favorite place on the trip so far!
