Black-winged Stilt(Himantopus himantopus)

I call this 'Steppin' out' My what long legs this juvenile Stilt has! Caught this lone bird out on my lagoon this morning, looks in very good shape but being on its own is very unusual, I wonder if it was just having a quick rest before going on to meet up with its flock. A gorgeous bird to see and photograph on such a lovely cooler morning. Apparently this bird has the longest legs relative to body length of ANY of the world's birds.
