Floral bells for summer solstice
This is still the week of the summer solstice. After two days of lovely weather, the forecast for tonight was rain so I took this photo in morning sun. I think, if I had synaesthesia, then the sight of foxgloves would set off the sound of bells in my head! This summer seems to be a good one for foxgloves, at least in our local park in Stirling. The pictured plants are growing on a bank covered in beautiful spikes of foxglove flowers. This shot illustrates the full ranges of colours, from dark pink through pale pink to creamy white.
