Fête de la Pomme

The annual apple festival took place in Sahorre today.  The valley is the main apple growing area as its climate is ideal for apple orchards, being a little cooler than the plain. The Catalan castellers were out again (see extra) and we came away with a chopping board, some local cheese and of course different apple varieties.  The event seems to get more popular each year.
