We wuzz robbed!
Here's a tip - never arrive in Edinburgh city centre at 1am on a Sunday morning. There are NO taxis to be had! We rattled along with our suitcases to the misnomer that was the 'Taxi Rank'... No taxi was ever going to appear, being too busy elsewhere, and the shivering girls in flimsy frocks are probably still waiting there. We walked and walked, me whingeing loudly, with my sore knees and suitcase, but fortunately a taxi driver had noticed us as he was driving to a call out - Actually, JR tried to climb into his cab as he stopped at the lights. But he didn't fancy having a drunk person in his cab, so he came back for us. Otherwise we'd've had to walk all the way home, my wailing and bawling replaced with Very Bad Words.
Archie came home to us about 9am. His usual crying and running round for several minutes. We then set off to Beecraigs Country Park (Archie was sick both ways) for a Schnauzerfest! And what fun that was. All shapes and sizes! (the dogs). Including three giants (also the dogs). We had a big long walk through the Park (I NEED a Segway thingie - saw lots of them in Granada). Trying to get them all in a group (and not a line) proved to be impossible, so this shot of some of them (including the most important two, A & B) will have to do. Archie had great fun, and surprise surprise, he ended up being the muddiest dog.
It's great to be home! What a treat to just walk into a shower this morning instead of clambering into one over a bath!
Archie and I watched the rugby this afternoon. Actually, he was snoozing on my chest as I lay on the sofa. So he was just under my nose, smelling not too sweet, I might say. But I didn't mind at all.
What a game of rugby! Hard luck Scotland. They played so well and gave those Aussies a fright.
