Church coffee morning today and I wondered if I would be up in time to bake. I found it easier to get up than I had expected as I suppose I'm still on Central European time.

As I was leaving I had a quick look at the flowers that had been done for the afternoon's wedding. They blended well with the those left from last week's harvest.

I walked past the village war memorial on the way home and was struck by the beautiful Autumn colours of these funeral flowers left there this week. The other end of life's journey.
