We went for a walk in the Brahan Estate and walked through the changing colours of the leaves that fluttered down as we past. Red Kites and Buzzards called and swirled overhead. Robins and wrens hopped among the stacks of logs.
At the pond the swans were resting on the bank. They have grown considerably since I saw them in June. The parents were swimming elegantly cross the water, still keeping an eye.
We stayed for a while and then moved on down to the river. We sat on the bench and ate our rolls and watched giant fish jumping out of the water. A dragonfly flew by ,a lucky escape from the hungry fish.
Rowan berries and red leaves stood out among the greenery. Pheasants scampered away when we approached and we could hear their young calling. Just one man past us in his car and a tractor was ploughing the field followed by flocks of seagulls.
