Too Broke To Student

I think it's like the biggest cliche ever that everyone thinks students are poor.
That's why we get discounts on things like clothes, books and other things. But another cliche is that we spend all our loans in the first week on pizza and fancy things and then we live off noodles and crackers forever. Now I'm here to say that's bullshit.

When I lived at home yeah sure, blow my loan on food and pointless things but wouldn't you? But now I've moved and let me tell you, paying rent, bills and having food in is so unbelievably expensive that sometimes uni seems impossible. Like they will casually talk about a place we need to go or a book or tool we need to buy. That's great so who's going to pay my bills after I've read this book? Who's going to refund me my metro fare when we get back from this trip?

I think it's about time everyone realised just how hard it is being a student. You have all these responsibilities that a grown up has and you're doing your full time degree that requires all of your time and effort.

If I hear one more person slagging off a student because they are stingy or that we buy £1.50 cans of cider. Sweetheart, if we could live the life of luxury, do you think we'd be buying 18p noodles from aldi? Don't think so.
